new superglide tank!

this is the superglide tank phil got for the shovel. he won it on ebay last week, it was so stressful. we woke up early and bid at the last second and ohhh boy such excitement! I love this tank so much, I think it's perfect.

this helmet took forever! I did it pretty different than the helmets I've done before, mostly because of the sewing. I love the bubble shield!

just a few scans. I'll scan some more later, I'm waiting for the glue in a helmet to dry. this helmet took me sooo long to do because of the sewing. I'll post a picture when it's all done.

bike week

I'm trying to figure out what to check out during bike week this year. I typed "bike week" into the search on chop cult and all I got was people talking about yuppy mania, I know about the limpnickie lot and the regular stuff on the bike week website but that's about it. I thought I saw on the haints blog something about a swap meet.

hopefully I can figure out stuff to do, haha nobody ever comments on this but I thought I'd give it a try!

ohh yeah! this is my newest helmet. it was a gift from a friend of my dad's so I'm sure I'll reline it but I'm not gonna be selling it. do you think people will mistake me for peter fonda when I wear it? probably. who am I to deny them an autograph or two?

this is unrelated to helmets and motorcycles but this is what phil got me for valentine's day! isn't is awesome? I've never had a real valentine's present before to be honest and never gotten a ring before, so of course I'll wear it everyday!

chopper dave valentine's day

happy valentine's day everyone! well I spent part of my morning at patient first and found out I have strep throat! yuck. but the doctor was awesome and gave me all the good stuff. anyway, phil surprised me later with the best dinner everrr at olive tree and I surprised him with a chopper dave air cleaner! well, I got him a card with a picture of a hole punch in it that says "I love you a hole punch" hahah get it?! so punny! and wrote "this is good for one chopper dave air cleaner" in it. so he can order it and all that stuff himself and I'll just give him the money. I hope he puts it on the shovel! oh also my second helmet sold on ebay yayy!!

timonium bike show

well.. I only took two pictures. it was really crowded and me and phil were sick.. right now I'm trying not to puke 'cause i took some of phil's antibiotic and I think it was a little too much. UGGHH I think I could deal with just about anything, but trying not to puke is one of the worst feelings in the world. anyway! all I bought was a helmet and a lowside shirt and phil bought a death science and lowside shirt and a S&S Cycle air cleaner and some gas caps and I think that's it really. I hope everyone that went had a nice time!



The sons of anarchy line on friday. This is the only day we went into this part of the show. Phil and I were guessing how many SOA shirts we'd see altogether in one place and I guessed 13, but that was actually a little too high! I think the most we saw was 5 but like I said we only went into this part of the show once and that was early on Friday.

so here's the newest helmet. I decided to start painting helmets, so I spent today sanding one. haha and then I kept coughing! I think the dust from the fiberglass was bothering my throat. oh also my first helmet on ebay sold for $30! how awesome is that?

I don't know if anyone wonders what I do about getting the straps through, but I always worry about sweat and rain or something messing up the foam or glue so I do two layers of fabric and then I sew around around the hole twice on both sides.

I haven't posted any old pictures in a while. I've just been so wrapped up with these helmets! I'll get it to it eventually. until then.. helmet mania. deal with it!
