whoa motorcycles rule!

phil's still asleep after the lonnng ride home last night, but I wake up early no matter what like an old lady so here are a few pictures from my phone from the brooklyn invitational.

in a galaxy far, far away.. I won a super cool helmet in a raffle! awesome, right? I'm smiling really hard and you can't tell.. I'm gonna wear it when I need to look super serious.

best friends foreverrrr! you can kinda see his pan, super freak in the background. it's so badass and chopper dave was really nice.

it was a blast! there were a ton of people there, I did kinda expect more bikes than there were but I think this was only the second time they've done the brooklyn invitational. the camera battery actually made it allll day, I'm a little nervous to look at how many pictures phil took. I've got it charging right now.

I have the coolest boyfriend in the worrrrlllld! he's been keeping secrets from me coz my birthday is the 26th. this weekend we're going to the indian larry block party and the brooklyn invitational annnd I have no idea what we're doing next weekend. at all! he won't even give me any hints.



I love him and his buttcrack always being out and his awesome collection of cool motorcycles! I'm soo lucky he's my man!

I don't have anything worthwhile to post.. I wanna turn my '70 stingray into a gasser, my dad's super annoyed at me over it. sorry pops! I mean how often do you see that? it's gonna be badass.

bell helmet

so I started taking out the lining of a bell helmet my grandpa gave me and it's a paiiin! it's seriously glued in there, my dad tried to get it out last night and said I needed a wide scraper and I couldn't find one at the shop this morning so I've just been goin all medieval on it with a screw driver. so.. I put it in the freezer thinking it might make it a little brittle. it worked for Mr. Freeze, so maybe it'll work for me!





edit: it totally worked! I left it in the freezer for a few hours and stabbed it with a screwdriver a few times and then it came out like buttta.

helmet relining 101

I've really abused this poor liner the past week or two and I think I pretty much got the hang of what I'm doing. I bought this stupid handheld sewing machine by singer thinking it would be easier to maneuver, but that thing was a waste of money. so 90% of this was hand sewn, but I have another bigger sewing machine so I just need to find a good spot for it. anyway, it's not done.. the black needs to be lined one more time and I need to glue the fabric down, but I'm waiting because I think I found a foam I like and I might use that instead. I'm sure it'll take me another week or so to decide coz I end up re-doing everything a million times. yeah so anyway.. pictures.

ta-dah! I'm gonna use some of that quick-hem stuff to cover the stitches on the bottom that you can see annnd obviously I'm gonna use the 3m super 88 spray to glue it to the actual helmet. I'm hoping it comes out really cool! the true test comes when phil lets me line his 'coz nobody pays more attention to detail than him and it has to be perfect coz he's my hunka hunka burnin love!

oh this is unrelated and I'm sure nobody pays attention to the mundane crap that I post, but remember how I said I was allergic to milkshakes? well I'm not! I went to phil's allergy doctor and they did the whole allergy test thing and I'm not allergic to milk at all, it's CORN that was making me sick! I guess eating sweets like milkshakes and all that with the high fructose corn syrup was just too much for me in my old age. I tried to snap a picture of the second part of the allergy test coz it was gross. check out the top one! it looks like it's gonna ooooooze. ahaha and I look really sad about being itchy.

phil's friend matt did the striping on this car. I only know him from seeing him at every meet we go to and he's always been so friendly. it's hard to see what a great job he does in this picture, but there are a lot more close-up if anyone wants to check it out.
